Job Title: Student Success Team Member - TEMPORARY
JOB GROUP: Classified Staff
LOCATION: Gresham, OR. Hybrid - Weekly on campus duties required
TERM: January 2026 - May 15, 2026
Responsibilities/Duties: Student Success Team Member
- Assist and support guardians in creating a healthy and productive learning environment at home for their student(s)
- Provide tutoring and academic support to students on campus and through Zoom
- Establish proactive communication with, and service to, each student and their guardian/learning coach
- Be accessible and available to communication from co-workers and students/families during all school hours
- Lead orientation for new students and families at MEWA
- Report and interpret student progress to accountable parties of the student
- Communicate, collaborate, and consult with appropriate support personnel i.e. teachers, counselors and administration
- Collaborate with administrators and/or appropriate school personnel concerning student progress, behavior, and attendance
- Maintain appropriate data for the student and convey that data to necessary personnel
- Ensure school information is being accessed by each parent
- Evaluate and improve the orientation process
- Manage a variety of tasks, prioritize and problem solve
- Work independently and responsibly
- Adhere to school regulations and policies
- Respond appropriately to concerns initiated by guardians/learning coaches/student’s teachers
- Provide and maintain accurate records and information for every interaction
- Attend and participate in department/program, building, and guardian conference meetings as scheduled
- Notify supervisor immediately regarding safety related problems and/or concerns
- Approach problems and interactions through an investigative lens, be detail oriented and prepared, before taking action
Minimum Expectations: The candidate will demonstrate experience with the following skills, or a willingness to learn the following duties and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of the physical, emotional, and social needs of families
- Demonstrate experiences that align with job description
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position including reaching and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality regarding students, guardians, and staff
- Independently perform job duties
- Maintain professional atmosphere
- Ability to pass criminal background check, possess Oregon driver’s license
- Maintain First Aid/CPR and Medication/Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
